Our Fellowship is a particularly unique experience designed specifically for college graduates seeking an adventurous and rewarding first step in their career path.

For the first three months, fellows will serve as the right-hand to our program directors while running programs and leading students around the world post-graduation. Fellows gain experience in mentoring, communications, program operations, leadership and strategic thinking.
As a fellow, LeadAbroad covers your international airfare, health insurance, housing, all program related activities and tours, and a local sim card. Fellows receive a small completion bonus and stipend while abroad.
One of our 2024 Fellows, Ellie Jurgensmeyer, loved not only the work she was doing but the connections she fostered while abroad. "We are go go go, constantly seeing new places and people both abroad and domestically, traveling with people that turn from coworkers to friends to family." Our LeadAbroad staff creates a home away from home in not only the cities we travel to, but the staff we work alongside each day! "Don’t take any second for granted: every moment is a new opportunity to learn, grow, and connect in ways that will last through every chapter of life."
Gia Gonzales, a 2024 Fellow, said "The most inspiring part of this job is hands down watching students grow, learn, and become better versions of themselves while being abroad, and watching those connections stay strong after the program!"
Upon the ending of programs, fellows return to the U.S. where they will come together with the rest of their fellow class (usually between 3-5 people your age) and join the LeadAbroad team in Atlanta, GA for the remaining three months. During the fall, fellows will gain professional experience in sales while traveling to our core college campuses to re-connect with their students and chat all things LeadAbroad.
"The most inspiring part of my job is getting to connect with students from so many universities that I wouldn’t otherwise get to know. Seeing their growth on our programs and long thereafter is why I love my job most!" says Anne, a Summer 2024 fellow. Anne was able to not only grow herself and her career, but also the students she worked alongside. This once in a lifetime opportunity is one you won't regret!
Kathryn Draughon recapped her fellowship by saying "Throughout this fellowship, my favorite aspect has been the relationships that I have built & the people I have met over the past 6 months. The students and other staff members I have been able to meet and work with during this have truly made this experience something I will never forget. The most inspiring part of my job is getting to mentor students in some of the best but also some of the most challenging time of their lives. When I was a student, the LeadAbroad staff made me feel so comfortable and cared for. Getting the opportunity to support others has been the most inspiring part. My biggest takeaway is learning professional and personal skills that I will take with me and apply the rest of my life."
